Nearing the 57th anniversary of our September '54 meeting in Claflin were (l to r) Susan Duncan Dana, Mary Edwards, Anne Nieuwenhuis Thomas, Audrey Reith and Nancy Baker Metcalf (Joan Faulkner Cutting couldn't get away.) We held our earlier mini weekends in Newport RI (2004) and Arlington, VT (2009). |

This year we had two days and two nights in Salem, MA. We all enjoyed an in-depth visit to the Peabody-Essex Museum (particularly the tour of the 200-year-old house brought from southeastern China and re-erected at the PEM). Trolley rides around this beautiful old city let us marvel at many of the city's 17th, 18th and 19th century mansions. And as always, our mini featured lots of good food, good wine, good conversation and gratitude for our long-lived friendship. |
