All of you have received your books and many of you have been most generous in your reception of it. Caroline, Ann, Jane, Kim, Mary, Toni and I all thank you most sincerely for that. But we have one more thing we hope you’ll do:

Finally, if you haven’t sent a contribution for the record book costs, please do it now, if you possibly can. The 50th book is always a particularly expensive undertaking (typically between $21,000 and $25,000 according to the Alumnae Office; ours was less than that by several thousand). Nearly 400 people received the book; 190 have sent checks to help with its cost. If you’re able to write a check for $40 (or more if you can, to cover someone who can’t), make it payable to Wellesley Class of 1958 and mail it to me at my address in the record book (page 75).
